Now based in Los Angeles and raised in New York City, Cinnamon La Canela draws inspiration from the legendary sounds of La Fania, Willie Colón’s Asalto Navideño, and the rich musical heritage of the Latin communities that defined NYC. “Llego Diciembre” pays homage to the masters who created this timeless holiday style while bringing a fresh, modern twist for today’s listeners.
The track features the warm tones of the Puerto Rican cuatro, lively congas, a fiery piano montuno, festive coros, a swinging bass, and powerful horn lines—all brought together in an international collaboration of musicians from New Jersey, Orlando, Ecuador, Cuba, Venezuela, and Tampa, Florida.
